Vijaykrishna Indra Parameswaran is a Carnatic musician from a musical family.

Vijaykrishna regularly performs as a vocalist for solo performances and classical dance performances throughout the United States. Along with his live music, he produces tracks for classical and semiclassical artists.

Born in India, raised primarily in California, his training in South Indian classical music was concurrent with his upbringing in the West - through which, a new identity formed - a side project.

Under the stage name Jay Parmesan, this Carnatic musician has turned songwriter, vocalist, and producer.

Jay Parmesan finds inspiration from lyricists like Frank Ocean, producers like Brakence, jazz guitarists like Julian Lage, rhythm maestros like Zakir Hussain, classical stalwarts like KV Narayanaswamy, and his guru Babu Parameswaran.

In October 2025, Jay Parmesan put out a solo EP: THE LOVE CASINO, which asks the question: If falling in love is a gamble, why not bet on yourself?
